I’ll be attending the 5th annual Ghost Story Festival held at the Museum of Making in my hometown of Derby on the weekend of the 21st/22nd of February. I will be taking part in two panels on Saturday the 22nd -
10:30 am: Bringing the Supernatural Into the Modern Day – with myself and Megan Taylor, chaired by the Festival’s creator and my old publisher, Alex Davis.
02:00 pm: The Importance of Place in the Ghost Story - with me, Peter Haynes, Alison Moore, and Teika Marija Smits.
Moreover, Alex is releasing a Ghost Story Anthology featuring ten writers from the Festivals. It is called Spirit Seasons and features a short story of mine entitled ‘Christopher’ - possibly the saddest story I’ve ever written, and one of my strongest shorts, I believe.
The anthology features a load of great writers, check out the cover -
The book is LIMITED to 150 copies.
You pre-order a copy to pick up at the event HERE.
Or order to be delivered right to your door HERE.
Also available at the event will be copies of my supernatural novels, The Electric and Society Place.
There’s a lot of really wonderful writers attending this festival and I’m thrilled to be part of it, especially as it takes place in my hometown. Plus, I’m looking forward to seeing old friends, meeting some new faces, and talking all things writery and spooky. My two favorite subjects.
My old friend Susan Stokes-Chapman is also doing a talk on the Friday night (although I’m not sure I can make that). Susan was in the Leamington Writers Group I co-ran a few years back. Before she left us to become a famous author.
Tickets are on sale HERE!
Hope to see you there.
