Lidderman Completed: & Other Stories
A Filmmaker's Journal
It’s been a while since I posted anything. There’s been a lot going on, as usual, but I suppose the main thing to say is that after a fairly protracted post-production, my second feature film as a director, The House on Lidderman Street, is complete.
It’s a relief, I can tell you. My editor, Ryan Robinson, and the sound team over at Five 29, Tom Edwards and Ben Jacob, went above and beyond and put some serious hours in to get it over the line. Thank you, guys.
Now the next stage begins: That of getting the film out into the world, by hook or by crook.
The movie site, Live For Films, kindly gave us a First Look piece.
Trailer(s), (main) poster(s), interviews, articles, all that jazz, all to come. As much as we can in our small way, anyhow.

The Wilding is also pretty much done, as well. Soon to be unveiled by director Adam Park and his team. It’s a good one.
What else? The 10th Anniversary Edition of Dead Leaves has been released. Complete with an Introduction by Horror Legend Simon Clark and a new essay and short story by me. Please check it out. I’m very proud of that book.
Also, I recently spoke with my Italian friend, Emanuele Crivello, about the book, as well as The Evil Dead, Video Nasties, the late Scott Spiegel, AI, working class novels, and other such matters.
Check it out -
This is the 100th entry since I started uploading my old Production Diary last September on this here platform. I have charted the making of Baby on Board, some of Laura Living Backwards, The House on Lidderman Street, The Wilding, and most of the screenwriting work I’ve been doing. Mainly the writing of Zero Hour and Improper Bastards for director Rick Roberts - I’m hoping Bastards shoots over the winter - and also the revenge thriller I’ve co-written with Ashley Price for director Isher Sahota - that one is gaining some serious legs. Very exciting stuff happening there.
Anyway, 100 entries of me waffling on about all my stuff. I think it may have run its course. For now, anyway. I've taken it up to the completion of Lidderman Street, so I reckon that gives it some kind of closure.
Look out for my films at festivals and here and there. Hopefully, they’ll get out there. I feel certain that The Wilding will. Follow me on Instagram for any updates.
Please buy one of me books. Review, give ‘em a shout out, throw some star ratings at them - it all helps keep the fires burning. In more ways than one. Thank you.
Anyroad.
Be safe, be happy, be creative. Ignore all the bullshit.
I’m off to dream it all up again.
Laters.
